Outstanding success at the first Bios Global Summit in Venice

The Bios Global Summit, the first edition of an event dedicated to learning, connection and inspiration, which transformed Venice into an exciting stage for two unforgettable days, ended with extraordinary success. The magical atmosphere and Venetian hospitality added a special touch to the entire event, making it a one-of-a-kind experience.

The Bios Global Summit brought together some of the brightest leaders from a variety of industries, including Banking & Finance, Public Institutions, Services, Mass Market, Manufacturing and Retail, to share success stories, experiences, overcome challenges and an intriguing vision of the future.

Leading the day on Friday 15 September was the renowned Prof. Carlo Alberto Carnevale Maffè, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the SDA Bocconi School of Management. Prof. Carnevale Maffè is also an Independent Director of listed companies in the Technology & Finance sector, the United Ventures fund and the start-up studio Foolfarm. In addition, he is Chairman of Smart Bank, ASM Energia (A2A Group) and the Riccagioia Foundation and economic columnist for the Mediaset Group.

Each of them shared their views on how successful companies are embracing data management, processes and innovation, redefining the business landscape through Business Analytics, AI and Big Data. An extraordinary opportunity to expand perspectives and connect with industry pioneers.

 

 

During this day full of inspiration and curiosities related to different sectors, Alessandro Piva, Head of the Big Data & Business Analytics Observatory Research at Politecnico di Milano, also spoke, presenting the latest findings of the 2023 Observatory.

The event also offered valuable networking moments, allowing participants to forge new relationships, share ideas and establish valuable connections with other participants. A perfect opportunity to expand one's network of contacts and create opportunities for collaboration.

To end on a high note, participants were ferried to the heart of Venice, with guided tours of the most iconic sites and an authentic dinner at a typical restaurant to enjoy the traditional flavours of Venetian cuisine.
